Mount Grace Priory

This started as the guest house for the priory.  In the 1550's when Henry VIII dissolved all Catholic cathedral, abbeys, and priories it was sold and turned into a manner.

The priory was the home of Carthusian monks. They lived like hermits.

This is one of their cells which has been reconstructed.

The model shows the two-story cell with garden. Meals were brought and slid into an opening of the cottage.

We had to bring this beautiful cock home.

 The ducks were also friendly.
