Bemish - Living Victorian History

We spent a day at Beamish with Elder and Sister Jeppsen serving in our mission.  This is the main street with the trams, co-op stores, and villages.

We took a ride on the steam powered train.

We rode on this old steam merry-go-round.
Vegetable gardens outside the old stone farmhouse.

We enjoyed seeing the shetland pit pony- used in the coal mines.

The "Elephant" steam engine was the first design in England used to haul coal to the coast. Top speed 5 mph.
