Ward Jackson Park

This is Ward Jackson the founder of West Hartlepool.  Hartlepool was originally the Headland.  Jackson set up shipbuilding and heavy industry.  A park in the town is named after him.

We took our morning walk in the park.

It had just rained so everything was green and fresh.

All the fowl came swarming as we arrived...a Mom and daughter were just started to throw bread crumbs.

We encirled the lake and couldn't count all the ducks.
The park had a beautiful fountain to complete our course around the parkway. We felt blessed to by out walking and sense the civic pride of Hartlepool and its heritage.
