Monday night we had dinner and family home evening at our bungalow. Linsay and her son Danny came to church for the first time on our first Sunday. Elders Turner and Parham are here in Hartlepool with us. Dad gave a good lesson on listening to a prophet keeps us safe. Then we played fruit salad which was a big hit. I had baked cookies for treat.
Our dear neighbor, Eric Pearson, is the dearest person. He came over five minutes after we arrived and has been so helpful. Our first Sunday here, Craig Jeffries returned from the Scotland Mission. Who would have thought that the tiny Hartlepool Branch would have a missionary serving. We took him with us out to visit and had our very first English Fish and Chips. Very tasty. We attended the baptism of Janice. She has made very positive changes in her life.
These are some of our dear sisters in the branch:Shirley, Mary, Ann, and Anglea
The Oliver family sponsored a welcome home social for Craig-lots of fun and food.
The end of our first week.
