We left the MTC at 8:00 a.m. Friday and arrived in Manchester Saturday morning at 8:30. Do we look a little haggarded!? President and Sis. Lindley, our mission president, picked us up at the airport. He is retired from a security job and likes riding motorcycles -which he doesn't do presently-and golf among other things. Sis. Lindley worked in costuming for historic movies.
They took us to tour the Manchester MTC where there were young missionaries from South America, Europe, the USA, and other places. They only have 50 or less at a time. English and German are they only languages taught there.
The Preston England Temple was only a short walk from there. All the grounds are lovey gardens.
We drove to Chatburn where Heber C. Kimbal taught and baptized early saints in this little pond. I am going to paint this beautiful place when I get home.
Sis. Lindley had prepared a lovely lunch for us at the mission home. Then we were off the hour and a half trip to Hartlepool.
Here is our bungalow. It is charming.
Here is our car-a 2011 English somethingor other. Dad says it is too wide. I don't think it will fit in the garage.
