| We traveled the hour and a half to Harrogate near York for missonary Zone Conference. There were probably 60-70 missionaries who attended. President and Sister Lindley are at the head of the table. We heard them speak for the first time at this conference. She spoke about how we should have a love for all. It is the key. He talked about the atonement and the suffering of our Savior and how it should affect us and those we teach. |

| Among those we met was an Elder from mainland China. He said his mother was baptized while she was abroad. There is a small branch of members in his town in China now. He is the first missionary from their branch. They are not allowed to proselyte except their family members. He smiled when he said he came from a large family. I met a sister and Elder from Brazil and was able to speak Portuguese with them. |

| We met several Elders who are learning Chinese with whom Dad enjoyed speaking Mandarin. Many Chinese students come to England to study. The Relief Society served Mexican food. What a treat! |

| We met sister missionaries from Ghana and Romania. It is a joy to be a missionary! |
